Oktoberfest 2025 Forecast - What is the Festival Going to be Like?

Oktoberfest 2025

Oktoberfest 2025 is just a few months away, and everyone has started anticipating what the 190th iteration will be like. One thing everyone is sure of is that the Bavarian Beerfest is also going to be BIGGER and BETTER! Tent reservations began as early as February, and most people have already planned their trip.

The opening and closing days of the festivals, along with the weekend evenings, will attract more crowds. Guests in the beer hall will be seen more than ever in dirndl dresses and lederhosen shorts. The Oide Wiesn will be here for this edition of the celebration.

When & Where is Oktoberfest 2025?

The celebration is going to last for 16 days. It is going to start in September as usual and end in October. The date and location are;

  • Dates: September 20th - October 5th, 2025.

  • Location: Theresienwiese in Munich, Germany.

  • Attendance: Expect over 6 million visitors.

  • Beer Prices: The prices for a liter of beer stein are thought to be between €14.50 and €15.80.

Crowd Forecast for Oktoberfest 2025

First-time visitors to Bavarian festivals may face challenges navigating the fairgrounds on busy Saturday afternoons. For a more relaxed experience with fewer crowds, visit during weekday lunchtimes. On Saturday mornings, especially at 9 AM, expect heavy crowds and be prepared for a fast-paced entry.

Best Days to Visit Oktoberfest 2025

The best time to visit Oktoberfest 2025 includes a certain time slot during the days.

Saturdays of the Festival

Beer tents may close due to overcrowding by the afternoon, though closures are less immediate than in previous years. The first Saturday is less crowded in beer gardens, offering better seating chances. Mornings are busier than later Saturdays. Expect a tourist-heavy crowd, with Americans prominent on the first Saturday and Italians on the second. The final day is the least touristy.

Streets and Carinal Rides

Streets are rarely overcrowded, though perfect weather on Sundays may cause some congestion. Ride wait times are typically short, even on busy days, with few exceptions for low-capacity attractions.

Sundays to Thursdays of Wiesn

Large tents are generally accessible, with possible closures only during late afternoon reservation changes. Sundays, especially evenings, are the most relaxed for beer tent visits, except for the Bäurosl tent, which stays at capacity all day due to large gay community celebrations.

Weekdays of the Festivals

Augustinerzelt, Hackerzelt, Ochsenbraterei, and Schützenzelt see more guests during midday. However, weekdays offer more affordable hotel rates.

Note! 3rd of October is a public holiday, which may affect crowd levels.

Beer Tent Crowd Forecast Oktoberfest 2025

The crowd forecast at the Theresienwiese street varies from the beer hall. The tents have 300,000 seats, and the landlords close the door when these tents are fully occupied. Check the beer tent forecast for having luck with finding a seat at the festival.
